If I wanted to start submitting my art work to galleries and museums, what would be the best way to go about that? How would I submit my work? What are some of the best ways to creat a portfolio? Any help on the subject would be wonderful, thanks. Asked by charlie6385 - Thu May 24 16:56:04 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. All the art galleries have a submission process. Call and ask when their judgings are. Start at your smaller galleries- or you can have your own gallery opening. Rent out a small space and invite all of your friends and family. Set up a jazz band or something. Answered by Ladeedah - Thu May 24 19:23:57 2007 what do you think of museums and the presentation of the artefacts? Q. I recently visited the museum of london and thought that the use of film, interactive things and recreations of houses was great. Do you think museums should have more of these? would we learn more if they did? Also, is there enough informaton in museums about the artefacts? Asked by Karen W - Mon Apr 28 19:46:19 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. I think there there should be more interactive things in museums. It's a great way to get to know the subject. An example is a bug museum I went to having a little area where we could see through the eyes of a fly. I don't think photography should be allowed around more delicate artifacts and artwork. It could damage the pigments that give the item color or maybe even cause a slow breakdown of the structure of the items. The use of films is a great way to enhance an experience but I don't think anything can replace actually being close to the items in museums. Answered by Goddess Enzeru - Mon Apr 28 19:52:43 2008 What are the coolest museums in New York City?
Q. I saw on TV a long time ago a museum in the City that featured contemporary art, music, etc. where people could interact with the mediums and whatnot. The whole atmosphere felt very chill and relaxed. It might've been in Brooklyn. If anyone could narrow it down for me and identify possible places which fit this description, that'd be great. While you're at it, also suggest other cool museums! Thanks. Asked by adrian f - Fri Aug 25 23:51:28 2006 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. I have no idea which museum you are talking about but found this list, maybe you can figure it out from there? Looks like they have some really cool looking obscure ones: I visited NYC a year ago Christmas and it was way too cold for this California girl so I spent a lot of time in the nice warm museums. The Metropolitan was beautiful, I was there for 7 hrs and I don't think I even saw 1/4 of the stuff. The Museum of Natural History was much the same way - 6 hrs and I barely touched all the stuff in there. The Guggenheim was great too and not quite as intimidating, more modern looking. Get there early the minute they open and avoid the weekends, the crowds can get pretty unbelievable. Answered by BabyRN - Sat Aug 26 01:13:19 2006 From Yahoo Answer Search: "museums" |
