See if your community (or a nearby community) has a public access TV station. You can learn on their equipment with their video footage and you can learn a lot that way. Try adult school (night) classes or call some photographers in your area to see if you can intern with them. But on the other hand, these new generations do get to become celebs without paying the price the earlier generations did.
